Privacy Policy – LocalMart-BD

This Privacy Policy explains how LocalMart-BD ("the app", "we", "us"), developed by Mohaiminul Nistar (LocalMart-BD), collects, uses and protects your information when you use our Android app (package: com.localmartbd.app).

1. Information we collect

Account information: your name, phone number, email address and password (the password is handled by Firebase Authentication; we cannot read it).
Delivery information: the delivery addresses you enter, and optionally the latitude/longitude of your delivery point.
Precise location: collected only when you choose to use your current location (customers), or when a delivery person starts "Live Location" for an order (shopkeepers/riders). See section 3.
Orders and activity: order history, cart, favourites, reviews, and chat messages with the shop or support.
Photos: a profile photo, if you choose to upload one (shopkeepers may upload product photos).
Device information: a push-notification (FCM) token so we can send you order updates. For admin accounts only, a device identifier is used to restrict admin access to approved phones.

2. How we use your information

To create your account and let you sign in.
To process, deliver and track your orders and calculate delivery charges.
To send order updates, offers and notifications.
To provide customer support and chat.
To keep the app secure and prevent fraud or misuse.

3. Location data

Customers: the app asks for your precise location only while you are using the app and tap the "current location" button, to set your delivery address and calculate delivery charge. We do not collect your location when the app is closed.

Shopkeepers / delivery persons: when you tap "Start Live Location" for an order, the app sends your precise location every few seconds to our server so that the customer of that order can see the delivery on a map. While this is running, Android shows an ongoing notification. Location sharing stops when you stop tracking or finish the delivery. The app does not request "Allow all the time" (background) location permission.

We do not sell your location data and do not use it for advertising.

4. Sharing of information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:

with the shopkeeper / delivery person handling your order (name, phone, delivery address/location);
with service providers that help us run the app: Google Firebase (authentication, database, notifications) and Cloudinary (image hosting). Map tiles are loaded from OpenStreetMap, and "open in maps" links open Google Maps;
when required by law.

5. Data storage and security

Data is stored on Google Firebase servers and transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS) connections. No method of storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.

6. Data retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing rifatnister21@gmail.com from your registered email address. We will delete or anonymise your data within a reasonable time, except where we must keep records (for example completed orders) to meet legal obligations.

7. Your choices

You can deny or withdraw location permission at any time in your phone's Settings → Apps → LocalMart-BD → Permissions. You can still pick your location manually on the map.
You can turn off notifications in your phone settings.

8. Children

The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available at this page, with the "Last updated" date changed.

LocalMart-BD আপনার নাম, ফোন, ইমেইল, ডেলিভারি ঠিকানা, অর্ডার ও চ্যাটের তথ্য এবং (শুধু আপনার অনুমতি নিয়ে) সঠিক লোকেশন সংগ্রহ করে। কাস্টমারের লোকেশন শুধু অ্যাপ ব্যবহারের সময় "বর্তমান লোকেশন" বাটন চাপলে নেওয়া হয়। ডেলিভারিকারী "Start Live Location" চাপলে ডেলিভারি শেষ বা ট্র্যাকিং বন্ধ করা পর্যন্ত লোকেশন কাস্টমারকে দেখানোর জন্য পাঠানো হয়। আমরা কোনো তথ্য বিক্রি করি না বা বিজ্ঞাপনে ব্যবহার করি না। তথ্য Google Firebase ও Cloudinary-তে সংরক্ষিত হয়। অ্যাকাউন্ট ও ডেটা মুছতে চাইলে rifatnister21@gmail.com-এ ইমেইল করুন।
